Embracing Your Second Calling Review

Back of the Book

Do you ever wonder if the best of life is in the past? Are you longing for more passion and purpose in the second half of your life? Then take a deep breath and prepare for a great adventure.

My Thoughts

I was a little nervous when I started to read this book because I am in my twenties and not at what Dale Hanson Bourke considers ‘My second calling.’ But, I am so happy that I read this wonderful book. There were so many things that Dale talks about doing in her life now that she has time to take a step back and re-evaluate everything that has happened throughout her life. Some of the situations have already happened to me as well, some I am going through now, and others I am sure I will go through later. Dale helped me to take a step back and realize some of the things that I needed to do to make positive changes in my life. She also helped me to better understand some of the things that I need to stop taking for granted right now. I need to focus more on my daughter and less on the unimportant things. I never want to miss a second of my child growing but sometimes it is easy to get caught up in work and what I think needs done at that moment. I need to slow down in life so I can have more time to treasure the little things before they are gone. I am so Thankful to Dale for writing this wonderful book .I will soon be purchasing one for my Mom as well because I know she can use this in her life as well. Thank you to Thomas Nelson Publishers for sending me this book to review!
