I grew up on Catalina Island. Went to Aspen Co, with friends & ended up falling in love. My husband & I built our own Cabin from standing dead trees & lived on Aspen Mountain for 14 years. I taught myself how to knit to keep my children in warm clothing. This latent talent grew into a way to support my family. I loved designing & creating hand knit clothing. First for children then into adults. My business blossomed into quit a prosperous undertaking. I was knitting for very famous people there the names would be easily recognized if spoken. We decided to change our life-style when the children started getting older & we moved to Northern Ca.
I had three children. Children are Zeke 37, N8 is 36, & Heather is 32. Both the boys have made me a Grandma. I am a 10 year widow now. I was deeply in love with my husband & still am. Were together for 28 years, I miss him, everyday I think of him. He would love the new direction my life has turned to.
I use to be a Dog-owner councilor, as well as taught children in 4H how to train & show their dogs. My favorite dog breed is the elegant & noble Collie. I was very active in training, showing, & breeding Collies. Health problems has slowed me down & now only breed a litter or two a year but mostly still active in loving the collie. I have a collie as one of my best friends. His name is Champion Mountainprides Cloudtreader.
I have, my whole life been attracted to Gems. I have always made my own beads. In the past few years this attraction has grown to an addiction, I currently bead somewhere between 2-14 hours a day. I love it! It is a great outlet for me, to still be designing & creating & working with color, which I truly love.
Inspiration I have no idea. It’s just there always begging to come out & play!! Even way back when I was younger I wished everybody a little “Twink of Magic”. Which is my way of saying, “I Wish You, Love, Peace, & Joy!”
fantasydesign makes jewelry in beautiful bright colors. The stones that are used are different than in most jewelry shops. You will not find diamonds or rubies but you will find amethyst and onyx.
Fantasy Design was kind enough to send me a stunning necklace to review. When I opened it my daughter looked at it and said that it looked like a necklace right out of King Arthurs Court. She was thrilled with it. I don’t know if I would go as far as to say that right out of King Arthurs Court. Maybe I need to watch that movie and see? But, I do know that it is simply breath taking! The beadwork is phenomenal and when I pull and pry nothing comes apart. The jewelry can be worn for any occasion and most often their designs contain many colors that make it wearable with many outfits. My necklace contains a beautiful shimmering stone as the focal point and then color just blasts out from there. My favorite is the blue beads with the gold wire wrapped around them. The clasp is also wide enough hat I don’t have to ask someone to put it on for me which you know in my eyes is a big plus!
When the necklace arrived I noticed that it was placed in a mystical looking blue bag that cinched together with blue ribbon. I love looking at the way Etsy sellers package their products and this bag fit and the name of the shop fit the jewelry perfectly! The jewelry is truly designed right out of a fantasy and is simply marvelous!
