I have told you alltime and again how much my daughter loves Scooby-Doo. He is her favoritecartoon character and she even has a stuffed Scooby that she takes everywhereshe goes.
Scooby-Doo! Curse ofthe Lake Monster is not a cartoon version of the show but a movie with the samecharacters we all grew to love in Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins. In this fun andentertaining movie Daphne, Velma, Fred, Shaggy and Scooby embark on a new adventureat a Country Club that is owned by Daphne’s Uncle. The kids are planning on working there throughout their summer vacation. But something isamiss and after many reports of a frog monster they must find out exactly what it is before it closes down Daphne’s Uncles Country Clubforever.
I really like thiscute and fun movie. I feel that it should be for an older audience than my 5year old simply because in this movie Daphne and Fred find themselves togetherin a Boyfriend/Girlfriend relationship and Shaggy has a mad crush on Velma.Some of the parts were a little too over my daughters head and I was actuallyglad for that since I don’t want her thinking about boys at her age. Some ofthe parts included kissing and just basic talk of dating and relationships.There was not much there to offend but I still feel like this movie is for alittle older audience. I liked the animated features and effects. The story wascaptivating and everything you would expect from a Scooby adventure. I feltthat the actors played the parts of each character well and really took on thequirks of their roll. I over all really liked this movie and know that we willbe watching it again!
